THE IDEA

You can collect travel recommendations by texting notes, supported links, and readable screenshots to Ruminate. Include the destination when the source does not make it clear, then search the app for that place or a distinctive saved detail. This creates a reference collection you can use while planning.

Keep the recommendation and who it came from

A friend recommends a bakery, a travel post mentions a museum, and a hotel website has useful arrival instructions. Those details are more valuable together than scattered across a group chat, social saves, and browser tabs.

When someone sends a recommendation, capture the place name and the reason they suggested it. If you copy a private message, keep only the part you need for your own travel planning.

Send a destination with ambiguous tips

Text the link or recommendation to Ruminate. Use #capture for written information in a screenshot when your plan supports it. If a note says only “go early,” add the venue and destination so the advice still makes sense later.

For example, a bakery recommendation from Maya becomes easier to retrieve when the message includes Lisbon and the bakery’s actual name. You do not need to construct an itinerary to save the tip.

TRY A MESSAGE LIKE THIS
Lisbon — Maya recommended this bakery for breakfast. Go early. Save the bakery name and source link.

Return to suggestions while planning

Search for Lisbon to review matching saved entries, or search for a venue name when you already know which tip you need. Open the source link to move from a recommendation to current practical information.

A shared destination term works across different input types. A voice recap of a friend’s suggestions and extracted text from a screenshot can both be useful, as long as the relevant words are present in the saved entries.

Separate saved advice from current travel details

Opening hours, ticket availability, and transport information can change. Verify those details with the venue or service before making plans. A saved tip is a useful starting point, not a live itinerary.

If a social post becomes inaccessible, a readable screenshot or your own short note can preserve the specific recommendation you cared about. Link extraction does not guarantee access to private posts or disappearing content.

Does Ruminate arrange the trip for me?

This workflow collects and retrieves information you send. It does not automatically book venues, map an optimized route, or turn every recommendation into a calendar event.

Begin with one destination and a handful of useful tips. When you are ready to plan, search the destination, check current details, and choose what belongs in your itinerary.

Keep the next thing worth remembering.
