Ruminate captures content through SMS and MMS. The app is where you browse, search, play media, share, export, and delete what you have saved.
Capture where you already communicate
Ruminate begins with your registered phone number. Send a thought, link, photo, or supported voice recording to the service number from your messaging app.
The mobile app serves as the companion to that conversation. Capture happens over messaging; the app gives you a place to review and manage the results.
Give each message some context
A short message can be useful without being carefully formatted. Include the person, project, or occasion that makes it meaningful.
If you are saving a link, add a sentence about why it matters. If you are recording an idea, say what you want to revisit. That context remains useful long after the original moment.
Client workshop idea: ask everyone to describe their first week using the product. Bring the support examples Maya mentioned.
Return to an organized collection
Ruminate processes incoming content and saves entries in your vault. Depending on the material and your plan, that can include automatic categorization, audio transcription, image descriptions, and receipt extraction.
Browse categories to revisit older entries, or open Search and enter a name, title, or keyword. Review the matching entries and open the one you need.
A recent view is a starting point, not the full extent of your saved collection. Retention still depends on your plan.
Ask for a next step
Supported paid plans provide explicit commands called Switches. Use #remind for a reminder, #receipt for receipt processing, #capture for text extraction from an image, or #email for an email action.
Keep the instruction clear and check any confirmation you receive. Scheduling a reminder is different from merely saving a note that mentions a date.
Keep control of what you save
The app includes sharing, export, and deletion controls. Share links allow recipients to view shared content without a Ruminate account; links expire after seven days and can be revoked by the owner.
Review the current pricing and privacy policy before choosing a plan. Ruminate serves US and Canadian numbers, requires compatible carrier service, and applies message and processing limits.
Keep the next thing worth remembering.
