THE IDEA

Keep local event links and activity screenshots easy to find so your next family outing can begin with ideas you have already discovered.

Save it when you discover it

You spot a library craft morning, an outdoor movie, and a farm event during the week. On Saturday, you remember seeing something the children would enjoy, but cannot remember where.

Text the links or screenshots to Ruminate as they arrive. Keep the activity and the practical details together so you can find them when you are deciding what to do.

Save the details that affect the outing

Add a note such as “Family weekend—library craft morning. Ages 6–9; registration required.” Use details shown by the organizer, and include the source link when possible.

If you send a flyer, make sure the date, location, and instructions are visible. Review extracted dates and times against the image before relying on them.

For text extraction from a screenshot, send the image with #capture on a plan that includes this Switch. Include the words you want to keep in a clear, readable image.

Find an idea that fits the day

Search for family weekend to revisit your saved possibilities. Try library or craft when you remember a particular activity.

Check the organizer’s page for availability, cancellations, and current information. Once you choose an event, put the commitment in your calendar; saving an idea does not automatically schedule it.

Build from things your family would enjoy

You do not need to save every event in town. Keep the ones that make you think, “They would love that.” Ruminate gives those passing discoveries a place to wait until you are ready to make a plan.

Keep the next thing worth remembering.
