THE IDEA

After a client meeting, send Ruminate a brief text or personal voice recap containing the client name, decision, and next action. Supported voice notes are transcribed into searchable text. Later, search the project name in the app to retrieve the details you saved before your next conversation.

Capture decisions instead of recreating the whole meeting

You may leave a meeting remembering the discussion but lose the precise next step by the time you return to your desk. A useful recap keeps the parts you will act on: what changed, who is responsible, and what happens next.

Record your own brief summary or text it to your Ruminate contact. State the client and project explicitly so the entry makes sense without the surrounding conversation.

TRY A MESSAGE LIKE THIS
Northstar workshop. Maya wants a shorter onboarding checklist. I will send the revised outline Thursday. Confirm the first-session agenda before drafting the handout.

Review the saved recap

If you sent audio, open the processed entry and check the transcript. Names, dates, amounts, and commitments deserve a quick comparison with the original recording.

Ruminate helps preserve your recap; it does not certify that everyone in the meeting agreed with it. When an important decision needs confirmation, use your normal client communication process.

Use the same project name for related material

You may later save a relevant link, another recap, or a workshop receipt. Include Northstar consistently in the message or spoken note when that context is not already present.

The shared word gives you a practical way to retrieve related entries. You can add a more specific project name when one client has several active pieces of work. This does not require placing every item into a manually maintained document.

Prepare for the next conversation

Search for Northstar before the next meeting and review the matching entries. Open the recap to refresh the decision and next action rather than relying on memory.

When you need a particular detail, use a distinctive saved term such as onboarding. Search retrieves the words in your entries; it is not a promise that a vague question will locate every relevant idea.

Search in Ruminate to bring the details you saved back into view.

Does this replace a CRM or project tracker?

Ruminate is useful for personal capture and retrieval. This workflow does not create a shared client record, assign tasks to colleagues, or automatically update another business system.

Use the saved information in your existing work process, including export when appropriate. Send only information you are permitted to process through the service. A short recap of your own next actions is a useful place to begin.

Keep the next thing worth remembering.
